HALF DAY W/LUNCH
(10am-1pm) (Friday only)
(4 ski minimum-$400+tax/ski)
This option is only available at the Folly Beach and Charleston Harbor locations. Lunch is not included in the rate. This is approximately 2hrs of ride time on the skis with approximately 1 hour at lunch. The ride time experience is different for each location.
The Charleston Harbor location is more about seeing the sites around Charleston like the Ravenel Bridge, Battery Park, Fort Sumter, Yorktown aircraft carrier and stopping on Drum Island to look for some sharks teeth and other shells. The Drum Island stop will either be at the beginning of the ride or at the end after lunch as it depends upon the tide. Lunch options are Reds, Saltwater Cowboys or Waters Edge in the Shem Creek area. We prefer Waters Edge as the dock is usually easier to pull up to but we can play that by ear!
The Folly Beach location is a little more action, nature and adventure with cool marsh runs, usually a lot of Dolphin watching and we get out into the ocean for some wave jumping beside the Edisto Island Lighthouse! That part depends upon the conditions but we kind of go with the flow and assess everyone’s capabilities but we promise it’s a fun ride either way!
Bowen’s Island Restaurant is the restaurant used for Folly Beach rentals.
LIVE LIKE A LOCAL
(10am-4pm) (Friday only)
(4 ski minimum-$880+tax/ski)
This option is only available on Fridays at the Folly Beach or Seabrook /Kiawah location. This full day experience is going to feel basically like you’re out with friends enjoying the day on the water and hanging out on an island beach that you can only get to by boat! You know, where the locals go!
Both locations have dolphins to watch, waves to jump, marsh runs to explore, light boat activity and awesome beach spots to set-up “base camp” for the day! Folly does have the lighthouse to go see but other than that, they are both locations that I take my family and friends to go hang out at! We do usually like the Seabrook/Kiawah location more as parking is better though. Folly Beach boat ramp parking may be full and you would have to park and walk maybe a block.
The main difference though between locations is that there are different options for lunch. At the Folly Beach location you have the choice of going to eat at Bowen’s Island Restaurant or packing your lunch and eating on the beach. The Seabrook/Kiawah location doesn’t have a restaurant option to go eat at so you definitely have to pack the food to take.
As for packing lunch and drinks, we will have the coolers available to put your food in and will have bottled water. If there are any drinks that you prefer to bring other than water, you will be responsible for getting that also but the bad news…NO ALCOHOL. Reminder, we are on jet skis not a boat! So, we do have to be careful about the amount of food and drinks we bring.
Last details, base camp! We will have two beach chairs, an umbrella for shade and bocce ball to play. Can’t hang out on a beach without bocce ball! You all can walk the beach, chill out and swim, take turns on the jet skis…whatever you like but Dolphin Water Sports crew will be there to help the skis come in and out as well as take the adventurous ones out to jump waves or guide through the marsh runs…just like we would with our friends and family!
We promise, it’s an awesome day!
